UPDATE May 2014: The opening of Palm Mall is on 18 June 2014.
Tenant update: Pandora, Brand Outlets by Padini, J.CO Donuts & Coffee and Sketchers are among new brands that Palm Mall will offer to shoppers. Beside Black Canyon Coffee, Nando's, Papa John Pizza, Sakae Sushi, Shogun and Chatime are among new F&B brands for Seremban.
The news of mirror-less in washrooms of Palm Mall is not true at all as no 'ghosts' or supernatural things happened over there and all washrooms have mirror.
Seremban-ese will be welcomed by a new shopping mall and boutique hotel. It is the Palm Mall, located at entrance of Kemayan Square.
Touted to be the largest and most happening lifestyle mall in Seremban. We can expect a GSC cineplex with 3D screens, a 1,114sq m Celebrity Fitness fitness centre, fashion stores, alfresco-styled cafes and restaurants.
Celebrity Fitness has updated their latest outlet with address, Lot 2F-24, 2F-25 & 2F-26, 2nd Floor of this mall. It will be on the top floor of the mall.
As stated above, the net lettable area is whopping 450,000 square feet (10 percent of 1Utama gross lettable area). But to my disappointment, the anchor tenants comprise of supermarket, cinema and IT centre.
We need quality tenants (apparel and FB) that are well established in Klang Valley over here, although a drive to KL only takes 45 mins.
The targeted completion date is third quarter of the year. However the progress is seen to be slow. The exterior of the mall was painted with yellow recently with glass finish overlooking outside.

Down south of Malaysia, there will be a new attraction. It is the Johor Premium Outlets.
Johor Premium Outlets (JPO), a shopping haven joint-venture project between Genting Bhd and Simon Property Group, is scheduled for a grand opening on December 11.
JPO features more than 80 designer-brand stores.
What is Premium Outlets?
Premium Outlets is a portfolio of outlet shopping centers which brings together the finest brands in unique outdoor settings and offers impressive savings of 25 to 65 percent every day. Each center is a shopping attraction and destination in its own right offering:
* Factory-direct savings of 25% to 65% every day
* A distinctive, upscale store mix of leading designers and quality name brands
* A location that is easily accessible and near other attractions
* An attractive setting making shopping an exciting and pleasant experience for the whole family

You can enjoy extra savings in addition to the everyday savings of 25% - 65% at participating stores from 11-18 Dec.
Few of the brands include: Burberry, Coach, Tumi, DKNY, Giorgio Armani, Gap Outlet and Levi's.
I guess the main difference of JPO with Pavilion KL and Starhill Gallery is it offers whopping savings of 25 to 65 percent every day and more toward open store concept.
Besides, it is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. Rest in the world, around 50 in US, 8 in Japan, 3 in South Korea and 1 in Mexico.
What you are waiting for? Make sure you head down for its grand opening this 11 December, if you have chance!!

Our capital city, Kuala Lumpur will be boosted with a new tourist attraction with the launch of Kuala Lumpur City Walk, a new tourist hub for Malaysian food and products, is expected to open as soon as next month, after 13 years in the making (never realise that long).
The 450-metre sidewalk is located along a small strip of land that links Jalan P. Ramlee to the connecting road between Jalan Pinang and Jalan Perak. It is surrounded by high-rise office and residential buildings.
There were 50 retail kiosks along the walk and each was between 100 and 300 sq ft in size.
Deputy Federal Territories and Urban Wellbeing Minister Datuk M. Saravanan visited the walk recently to check the area in place. He also expressed hope that the project is comparable to Bintang Walk which is most happening spots in city
What to check out:
The walk, which featured three themes — Heritage, Contemporary and Future, and would operate from 6am to 3am daily.
There will be selling assortment of local products, souvenir and handicrafts.
> Emporium Grand Cafe The Lounge
Named for its keen attention to detail create an ambience that is influenced by the name and is one of the finest venues that Kuala Lumpur has to offer.
This Lounge and "supper club" idyllic setting for those in search of distinction and quality unsurpassed. Unwind in the extensive lounge with a live Jazz Band in the background and Embracing The Urbanite with cacophony of the Mediterranean crossing all frontiers with taste and verve to match and accompanied by the finest collection of wines and luscious culinary.

Note: This is the first posts of the year, so I keep it short and light for everyone.
