The 2012 Christmas season is back and all the malls have put up trees, ornaments, lights and whichever suitable as decoration.
For this year Mid Valley Megamall decided to use old village as their theme.
It comprises of Barn at North Court, Log Cabin at Centre Court and Art Crafty & Christmas workshop at South Court.
A log cabin is a house built from logs.
As you can see, there are quite a number of bird house around.
A closer look at the left of this barn, you can see there is a moving wheel to draw water.
In overall, the whole theme is interesting and display how Christmas is being celebrated in traditional days. The lighting used for the trees is not lively, a bit dull to look on.

On hiatus for more than a month, missed blogging so much. Healthy sandwich is something that I will featured now (this post).
O'Briens Irish Sandwich Cafe obviously is the best place to have a healthy and tasty sandwich with freshest ingredients and customization. Their menu spread from Hot Toastie to Cold Sandwich, salad and also coffee. Currently they have 11 outlets in the Klang Valley.
Fret, not. Salmon on sandwich. Fresh salmon slices is loaded on wholemeal bread with mixed leaves, red onion and squeeze of lemon.
Thin slices of salmon paired with smooth cream cheese. Lemon taste liven up out the whole flavour and it's appetising as well. Can be found in Cold Sandwich menu.
The second sandwich is from Hot Toastie menu, the Chicken Slice and Cheddar Cheese on Shambo. Main attraction of this sandwich is the shamrock shape of bread used. It is known as a symbol of Ireland, with St. Patrick celebration.
It is filled with fresh tomato, red onion, lettuce, and honey mustard mayonnaise and also chicken slice. Served with potato chips that is not overly salted.
There are still plenty other sandwiches in their menu, so take your time to discover it.
The portion of food is good enough for an average person with affordable price.
Food: 7/10
Price: 6/10
Ambience: 7/10
Verdict: Good sandwiches, balanced diet.

This Friday, country's budget will be tabled in Parliament. As usual all TV stations will broadcast the whole speech. You may ended fall asleep watching it. hahah
So I have few items on my wishlist.
1. Affordable housing
Browse through some property pamphlets, are you surprise with the price? Averaging RM450k for apartments is too much for average middle income earner.
Can PM reduce all taxes on construction materials or provide more rebates to property developers? It also goes down whether their profit margin is dwindled.
2. City art
Seriously KL is lacking of the art element to be a world class city (minus the crime). Street art or laneway art is so new to us.
Is this beautiful, artistically painted? We don't need fancy glass structure or mega steel buildings, art is the solution to many old, abandoned streets. I guess you don't need to allocate few millions for this project. Just gather renowned, talented artistes to don it.
Someone reminds me, art is not important for materialistic and kiasu society. wtf
3. Reduce personal and corporate tax
Higher tax will lead to brain drain. So just reduce it to be on par with neighbours, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Lower tax means you can have more money to spend. It's good for the economy, right?
Giving out short term goodies such as BR1M is not sustainable in long term and does not have lasting effect to the economy. More goodies more votes theory is bad for economy. *face palm
Enough said. It is impossible to satisfy every needs and wants, but please be prudent and accountable for every penny spent.

Resorts World Genting will reopen one of their main attractions, SnowWorld.
The new SnowWorld is a whole new enchanted attraction that houses fantasies and wonders on a fairyland high at the peak!
Featuring a winter downtown and World Heritage concept, the breathtaking view of the entire surrounding will be a great place for photo shooting.
Attraction Spots
The Winter Downtown + World Heritage Concept
The relief façade along the sideway of the snow chamber depicts the concept of a winter downtown experience. The stretch of streetscape along the slope creates a wonderful visually-stimulating experience and certain window bays have been reserved to serve as possible vendor stalls or resting bays.
Walk through the authentic streets as animated and rhythmic lights twinkle from the windows of the shops which houses an English Tea Shop, a French Bakery, an Italian Pizzeria as well as shops displaying Spanish red wine, Dutch clogs and Swiss chocolates to experience the culture and heritage of different countries.
LED Light Animation Scheme
Stroll down the streets of a snowy downtown and be amazed by the unique light scheme which will gradually transform SnowWorld from cheery daytime to magical nighttime.
Lookout Point
There are plenty of attraction spots and corners in the thematic interior which provide a beautiful backdrop for endless photo opportunities. Climb up a flight of stairs to the outlandish castle which is a contrast to the quaint and scenic downtown streetscape. Standing high up at the center podium will give a breathtaking view of the entire surroundings, and is also a great place to snap a few photos!
Warm House
Another attraction nestled in the snow-covered “hills” is the Warm House. Drop by this chamber if you wish to take a rest before continuing to discover more of the snowy wonderland!
Ice Sculpture + Play Slide + Cresta Run Slide + Snowball Time
Be awed by the spectacular ice sculptures on display as you frolic in the snow. For the more adventurous, take a spin on the Play Slide or Cresta Run Slide that will definitely steal your breath away!
Ticket price starts from as low as RM21 to RM25. If you are pregnant women or visitors with asthma, the SnowWorld is not suitable for you. *sorry
Come and experience yourself Malaysia’s very own Winter Wonderland (it's only -6°C) at Level T2A, First World Plaza.

“How would you organize your flash mob?”
Let me show you how to do it, natural and lots of fun.
The theme of the flash mob would be Joy & Happiness. And I'll have it at two locations namely, One Utama and Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
The whole flash mob will start with a young boy and girl with background music of That Thing You Do by The Wonders. They will be joined by teens and adults from all over. Dancing alone is too mainstream, so instruments such as cans, bottles and mini drums are in to attract the crowd.
Second part of flash mob will be orchestrated by a middle aged uncle and aunty. Both of them are sharing the Cadbury chocolates, but somehow a random fella just bumped into them. Right at the awkward moment, Full of Happiness by Super Junior is played.
The fella will give more chocolates to the couple from his pocket. Sharing is definitely a simple way to be happy. A bunch of kids to participate along this part. Balloons tied with Cadbury chocolates to be released from air.
The last part will be the most happening. An artiste, maybe Zee Avi to start singing King of Anything and the whole gang who involved from beginning till end will sing together and just disappeared once the music stops. Everyone can be a King of Anything, isn't it ohhhsum?
I hope this flash mob is an enjoyable one. Just imagine in the meantime :p

Do you know Drum Tao, the world-renowned Japan martial arts and drum-playing extraordinaires is coming to Malaysia this August 24 & 25 at the KLCC Plenary Hall.
After playing to audiences of more than 5 million, in 400 cities in 17 countries that include Switzerland, Denmark, Israel, USA, Australia, Spain, Belgium, UK and Germany, critically-acclaimed Drum Tao, will explode onto the KL stage with its eclectic mix of dance and martial arts as the dynamic and innovative Japanese performers beat their Wadaiko Drums.
About Drum Tao
Established in 1993, Drum Tao continues to create an entirely new art form that is modern yet retains a sense of nostalgia. Enthralling and mesmerising their audiences world-wide, the Japanese drum's intense and powerful beat underpins a musical message that penetrates deep into the hearts of audiences.
The two-hour extravaganza features super human efforts by the 16-strong highly disciplined crew of Japanese Taiko drummers, who spend eight months of the year touring the world, giving it their all in the 500 shows they perform a year.
Each Wadaiko Drum used in the performance weighs a massive 400kg with a 1.7metre circumference. It is just amazing.
The performers then switch to creating complex rhythms on smaller drums, complemented by the delicacy of bamboo flutes and a horizontal harp. Drum Tao will transport its audience to an unforgettable artistic universe with their breath-taking and stunning performances.
The end result is mind-blowing martial arts married with mesmerising music, coupled with the musicians’ physical fitness, dynamism and extraordinary synchronicity, make them human rarities.
The incomparable quality and pure unadulterated power and spectacle of their performance perfectly blends the ancient traditions of the Taiko Drumming and martial arts mastery with the innovative and flawlessly choreographed production values of contemporary Japanese excellence.
Drum Tao is adored across the world with their unprecedented and timeless drumming performance and bringing a brand new genre to the stage.

Catching a flight or waiting for someone? No.
Two weeks back, I had a random photo shoot at KLIA. To be exact, it is Viewing Gallery of Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
This is my first visit to the Viewing Gallery.
It was a breezy Sunday morning, with drizzle.
While passing through the walkway to Viewing Galley, this is what KLIA have at both left and right. Basically, it is the Contact Pier of International Level (Level 4)
And here we go, the Viewing Gallery.
Chairs or benches are placed at all over the place. People can always sit and enjoy stunning views of the Satellite Building and the routes of the aerotrain, including all the movements and activities taking place at the apron.
This Aerotrain transports passengers between the two terminals. The ride between the Main Terminal Building and Satellite Terminal A takes an estimated 5 minutes.
Most of planes here are belong to Malaysia Airlines as the Contact Pier is only for domestic and some MAS international flights only. The other jumbo jets like Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Emirates Airline are at the other end, Satellite Building.
There is limitation of Viewing Gallery, thus we can't have scenery of Satellite Building. Perhaps, the next time I go for international flight, I can capture more photos.
That concludes my short visit to KLIA. Maybe, I should ask the operator of KLIA to give me a chance to do a review for them. lol
Do drop by if you have time or while waiting for check-in. It's located at Departure Hall, Level 5 (nearby KFC).
